As more drama unfolds around
Britney Spears, the troubled singer reportedly begged her mother to
help her regain the custody of her two children, whom she lost earlier
this month.
According to Life & Style magazine, Lynne, who
arrived in Los Angeles Monday, told reporters at the airport that her
older daughter was on her mind "day and night."
"She never
leaves my thoughts," Lynne said. "I love Britney dearly. I want nothing
more than to protect her and make everything all right for her."
It’s been just days since the
26-year-old singer’s manager Osama Lutfi went public about Britney’s
"mental issues" on Barbara Walters’ "The View," saying she is currently
seeking professional treatment.
Sources say Britney, who
wasn’t allowed to see her two sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and
16-month-old Jayden James, is missing them very much, which is why
Lynne flew over to L.A. on Monday.
"'I've got to get my boys back and I can't do it without you,'" Britney told her mom, an insider revealed to Life & Style.
Mother
and daughter were spotted together Tuesday morning as they accompanied
Lutfi to a Mercedes Benz dealership in Beverly Hills, but their reunion
was far from happy.
Lynne
and Britney were arguing in the car the whole time. They're both upset
and arguing, not having a good time at all," an onlooker said. The two
carried on arguing 15 minutes later, as Britney drove a black Escalade
off the lot.
"After she came out, she pulled over to the side of the road to argue with her mom more," the onlooker added.
Prior
to their outing, Lutfi, paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, longtime
confidante Alli Sims and parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, all huddled in
the artist's home for what sources labeled as "an intervention."
"Britney's
mom was crying so much inside the house," a family insider said. "She
is so hurt and just wants Britney to get better already."
